Resumen:
El presente trabajo examina Carlos Gardel desde una óptica doble. Por una parte, en el recorrido temático que propone, y que concentra en la figura de Gardel una serie de oposiciones que están en el centro de las disputas sobre la imaginación de la Nación Argentina: el campo y la ciudad, los criollos y los inmigrantes, lo masculino y lo femenino, etc. Por otra parte, se propone leer esas tensiones en la materialidad del grafismo (en el recorrido que va de la línea fuertemente descriptiva a la mancha) y en la construcción de las secuencias: en el modo en que el corte de montaje pone en crisis una continuidad que remite a la inteligibilidad del relato tanto como a la inteligibilidad de la nación como comunidad coherente.

Abstract:
This paper examines Carlos Gardel from a dual perspective. On one hand, the proposed thematic tour, which focuses on the figure of Gardel a series of oppositions that are at the heart of disputes over the imagination of Argentina: the countryside and the city, the creoles and immigrants , male and female, etc. On the other hand, we propose to read the tensions in the materiality of graphic (in the path from the strong descriptive line to the spot) and the construction of sequences: in the way that the cutting assembly placed in a crisis continuity refers to the intelligibility of the story as much as the intelligibility of the nation as a coherent community.
